/chat is an endpoint introduced in wasteof2 which allows you to live chat. Jeffalo added it as he was challenged to see whether he could add a live socket.io chat to prod in less than an hour, which he succeeded in doing. /chat was added to the wasteof3 beta on August 6th, 2022.
