you should use a stronger password

On 30th July, 2022, user ari jokingly created a post saying "ari you should use a stronger password"[1]. Quickly after, a lot of people have made posts similar to that[2]

Repost chains

Main article: Repost Chains

Repost chains were when a user reposted a post, following a theme or piece of text.

While wasteof2 would automatically hide reposts after 2 iterations, wasteof3 did not have such a restriction, and repost chains could clog up feeds. On August 5th, 2022, a user began mass-spamming repost chains, which forced the website into maintenance. After this occurred, the ability to repost other reposts was disallowed.[3][4] This change is only temporary.[5]

Sent from …

After Jeffalo got a new laptop he made a post[6] saying he sent it from a MacBook Air[7] Quickly after a lot of people sent posts from mysterious places like Samsung smart fridges[8]
