Repost chains are when a user reposted a post, following a theme or piece of text.
While wasteof2 would automatically hide reposts after 2 iterations, wasteof3 did not have such a restriction, and repost chains could clog up feeds. On August 5th, 2022, a user began mass-spamming repost chains, which forced the website into maintenance.
