On 30th July, 2022, user ari jokingly created a post saying "ari you should use a stronger password"^{[citation needed]}. Quickly after, a lot of people have made posts similar to that.^[1]

Repost Chains

Repost chains are when a user reposted a post, following a theme or piece of text.

While wasteof2 would automatically hide reposts after 2 iterations, wasteof3 did not have such a restriction, and repost chains could clog up feeds. On August 5th, 2022, a user began mass-spamming repost chains, which forced the website into maintenance. After this occurred, the ability to repost other reposts was disallowed.^[2]^[3] This change is only temporary.^[4]

After jeffalo got a new laptop he made a post^[5] saying he sent it from a MacBook Air^[6] Quickly after a lot of people sent posts from mysterious places like Samsung Smart Fridges.^[7]

These are profile pictures that are created by the administrator willy. He recreates the user’s profile picture in Microsoft Paint.
